THE BUSINESS CHALLENGE

Find the weaknesses worth addressing first.

A scan can produce a long list without explaining what matters to the organization. Asset context and finding validation are needed before technical observations become useful priorities.

WHAT THE SERVICE COVERS

Clear scope.
Practical capabilities.

Explore the workstreams below. Your proposal confirms the deliverables, dependencies and responsibilities selected for your project.

01 / AUTHORIZE THE SCOPE

Authorized scope

Agree the assets, access level, assessment window and operational restrictions before any activity.

02 / ASSESS AGREED ASSETS

Assessment and triage

Use appropriate review methods to identify potential weaknesses and distinguish findings that need further validation.

03 / VALIDATE AND PRIORITIZE

Risk-based prioritization

Consider exposure, business context and available evidence when ranking remediation work.

04 / REPORT REMEDIATION

Report and follow-up

Document affected assets, practical recommendations and any agreed retesting after remediation.

FROM UNDERSTANDING TO ACTION

01

UNDERSTAND THE CONTEXT

Authorized scope

Agree the assets, access level, assessment window and operational restrictions before any activity.

✓ Confirm the boundaries and required inputs before work starts.

BUILT AROUND YOUR CONTEXT

The right service.
For the right need.

Organizations seeking an evidence-based starting point for reducing technical exposure.

We begin with what you already have and what needs to change. Connect authorized assessment, practical controls and ongoing operating responsibilities. Prioritize work according to exposure, evidence and the systems your organization depends on.

Final tools and platforms depend on your environment and the agreed scope. Named technologies describe potential implementation context, not vendor endorsements or partnerships.

CLEAR EXPECTATIONS

Know what you’re agreeing to.

All testing is authorized and scope-defined. No assessment proves complete security. Certifications, accreditation, 24/7 monitoring and incident-response coverage are not implied.

01

Defined deliverables

Your proposal describes the outputs and acceptance checks, with dependencies and exclusions made explicit.

02

Agreed responsibilities

Access, approvals and third-party involvement are assigned before implementation or assessment begins.

03

A clear next step

Handover, follow-up work and ongoing support are confirmed according to the engagement you choose.

BEFORE WE BEGIN

Your questions,
answered.

Is an assessment the same as a penetration test?

No. An assessment identifies and prioritizes weaknesses. A penetration test may validate selected attack paths under a separately agreed set of rules.

Can the results prove our systems are completely secure?

No. Findings represent the agreed scope, methods and time of assessment. They do not eliminate all unknown weaknesses.

What is included in a vulnerability assessments engagement?

The agreed scope identifies which of the capabilities above are included, the required access or inputs, deliverables and acceptance checks. We confirm any third-party costs and follow-on work before the engagement begins.

What do you need to prepare a proposal?

Start with your current situation and desired outcome. For this service, helpful inputs include written authorization for assessment activities, an agreed asset list and exclusions and operational contacts and escalation procedures. We then clarify scope, dependencies and timing.

PLAN YOUR PROJECT

Security findings and remediation prioritisation

Agree the assets and assessment scope, review findings in context and prioritise remediation by practical risk.

Planning a security engagement

Identify the assets you own or are authorised to assess, the business concerns and the intended outcome. Confirm the scope, exclusions and reporting contacts before sharing access or scheduling work.

What to agree before work starts

Confirm the deliverables, inputs, access arrangements and approval responsibilities in the proposal. Define how the completed work will be reviewed, what documentation is required and whether ongoing support is included.

Vulnerability Assessments: a question to ask

Is a vulnerability assessment the same as penetration testing?

No. An assessment identifies and evaluates weaknesses; penetration testing may include authorised validation under a separately agreed scope.
